Job Title: Seasonal Customer Experience Lead

Ministry/Department: Hope\u2019s Closet Thrift Store San Pablo

Reports to: Assistant Store Manager - Customer Experience

Status: Part-time/non-exempt

Supervisory Role: Customer experience staff and serve staff

Objective

To support and help lead the Customer Experience team in providing excellent customer service, execute daily operations to drive sales and be a minister of the gospel in order to execute The Church of Eleven22\u00AE and Hope\u2019s Closet\u00AE vision of being a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0

Key Responsibilities

  • Minister of the gospel\u00A0
  • Pray with customers and serve staff
  • Articulate personal testimony and gospel with customers and serve staff
  • Assistant in leading small and large group huddle; including casting vision and gospel presentation
  • Assist in care and discipling staff and serve staff
  • Drive sales by executing daily operations\u00A0(sales, cash office management, merchandising, replenishment, loss prevention)\u00A0and providing excellent customer service to our customers and donors\u00A0\u00A0
  • Assist in recruitment and retention of serve staff
  • Assist in maintaining relationships in support of community transformation projects
  • Assist in training development, coordination and supervision of Hope's Closet customer experience associates and serve staff in operations, serving and ministry opportunities\u00A0\u00A0
  • Discover training opportunities and collaborate with managers to provide coaching for team members\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0
  • Leads in merchandising to create a dignified environment
  • Perform opening and closing procedures
  • Help lead and create an inspiring team environment through setting and celebrating team goals, casting vision and demonstrating a proactive work culture\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a part-time, non-exempt\u00A0position that reports to the Assistant Manager\u2014Customer Experience. Due to the needs of the store and events, days may vary by week.\u00A0Weekend and holiday hours are a must.\u00A0\u00A0

The church has several big events, (\u201CAll-Skates\u201D) throughout the year to help further the mission of The Church of Eleven22 and Hope\u2019s Closet. We encourage you to participate and serve at these events. The stores are closed during these events to ensure the Hope\u2019s Closet team has the opportunity to participate in the spiritual formation of the church.

Our entire staff family is called to action so that we can continue to be a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional retail environment\u202Fwhich includes both sales floor\u00A0and\u00A0warehouse/ stockrooms.\u00A0This position works mostly with\u00A0cash registers, clothing racks, retail fixtures, furniture carts and dollies.\u00A0\u00A0

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand or walk on concrete flooring for prolonged time periods, bend, lift, grasp, reach, push and pull materials, walk on uneven surfaces, ladders\u00A0and stairs\u00A0and have the ability to\u00A0lift up\u00A0to 40lbs.\u00A0\u00A0
