Transportation Factoring organizations have unique needs. One of the best ways to help with your strategic planning is to spend time discussing those issues with other Transportation Factors. The purpose of this meeting is to provide a forum with current industry topics for Transportation Factors. This is a unique opportunity to share ideas and learn from others.   • Tim Valdez is the President of the Triumph Factoring Division. He is responsible for providing overall leadership in setting and executing Triumph’s strategic plan. With over 25 years of experience across multiple factoring companies, Valdez's deep industry knowledge influences Triumph’s expansion to serve the factoring market.Valdez previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Factor Leader for TriumphPay. Before he joined the Triumph Financial enterprise, he served as Vice President of WEX Fleet One Factoring, where he managed the daily operations of the recourse and non-recourse transportation factoring portfolio, including the supervision of sales, operations, cash application, collections, underwriting, and credit. He joined WEX Fleet One Factoring in 2019 when the company acquired Pavestone Capital, a recourse factoring company that Valdez co-founded to serve small and middle-market transportation and commercial businesses. Before founding Pavestone Capital in 2012, Valdez served as Chief Lending Officer for Transportation Alliance Bank.

  • Jennifer Lance-Chief Operations Officer, Apex Capital
  • Jennifer started at Apex as an Auditor. In 2002 she moved into the role of Client Accounting Manager with 5 employees in the department. Today the department has over 90 employees and is responsible for all the back-end processing of client’s receivables, including cash application. In the last 10 years through process automation, smart hiring and with an emphasis on training and development, productivity has improved by over 70% despite the drastic rise in volume. Jennifer joined the Senior Leadership team in 2012 and in 2014 also began managing a small Product Development team, which has grown to a team of 10 employees and is now called Change Management. From 2008 – 2011 Jennifer worked as an Account Executive while maintaining her position as Client Accounting Manager. She currently heads up the Business Continuity Planning committee, event planning, all company quarterly meetings, and participates in the Senior Leadership team.
  • Bryan Alsobrooks - President, Phoenix Capital Group
  • Bryan has over 30years commercial finance experience and more than 20years in the transportation industry. He is active with the International Factoring Association and has served as past Chairman and Vice Chairman for the North American Credit Manager’s National Transportation Credit Group. Bryan received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Austin Peay State University.Phoenix Capital Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company and is a nationally recognized provider of working capital solutions to small- to medium-sized transportation companies. Financing solutions include asset-based lending, accounts receivable financing and factoring, equipment financing and fuel card services. They are headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, with additional offices in California, Texas, Alabama and Tennessee.

Webinar - ABL Insights: An Intro to Asset Based Lending

ABL Insights provides a brief but broad overview of asset-based lending and how it differs from factoring as a form of working capital financing. 2025Presidents & Senior Executives Meeting

Presidents and Senior Executives of factoring organizations have unique needs. One of the best ways to help with your strategic planning is to spend time discussing those issues with other Presidents and Senior Executives in the factoring industry.   • Bob is one of the premier attorneys and an expert in the field of factoring. An attorney with the San Diego office of Buchalter, he handles loan documentation, trade finance and letters of credit, loan workouts and bankruptcy. He is a past Chair of the Commercial Financial Services Committee of the Section on Business Law of the American Bar Association, and was a founder and Chair of its Subcommittee on Loan Documentation.

The fee for this meeting is $1,495 (IFA Members Only). This meeting is limited to twoattendees per company. Attendees must have a minimum of five years' experience in Factoring and havea Senior Executive level position.

The meeting will run from 8am - 4pm on Thursday and 8am - 1pm on Friday, with a reception on Wednesday evening and a group dinner on Thursday Evening. The fee includes tuition, course materials, breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, Welcome Receptionand the Thursday evening dinner.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations received before December 1, 2024, will be given a full account credit or can be refunded minus a 10% cancellation fee. All cancellations received after December 1, 2024, regardless of the reason, will be given an account credit minus a 50% cancellation fee. No credits will be given after January 15, 2025. Attendee names can be substituted without a penalty as long as the new attendee has a minimum of five years' experience in Factoring and has a Senior Executive level position.

Cancellation Policy:

Here at IFA, your well-being is our top priority. We completely understand that your health and circ*mstances can change, which is why we've got a modern and flexible cancellation policy in place.
Health-related cancellations: If you decide not to attend an in-person event due to a documented health concern, you won't face any cancellation fees. Instead, you'll receive a full account credit for the attendance fees paid.
Non-health-related cancellations: If you need to cancel your attendance for reasons unrelated to health, on or before 30 days prior to the event, an account credit for the attendance fees paid, minus a 20% cancellation fee, will be applied to your account. If you cancel within 30 days of the event, no refunds will be issued. However, you may freely substitute attendee names from your organization without any penalty.
Please make sure to review the specific cancellation policies for each event listed, as they may have unique terms and may supersede the cancellation policies stated above.
One more thing to keep in mind: If you have unused account credits sitting on your account for more than two years, they will be considered contributions to our organization and will no longer be available to you for use.

The International Factoring Association is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA), as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
